New! The readers of Gambit, the New Orleans arts & leisure weekly newsmagazine, have selected La Maison Marigny as one of their favorite B&Bs! In a city with so many great inns, that's an honor we're proud of! We've been featured recently in the Globe and Mail daily newspaper in Canada, too!
Here's what some of our our guests have to say (and you can read lots more at BedandBreakfast.com or TripAdvisor.com, where we consistently rank among the top New Orleans B&Bs):
"It's always intimidating being in a new city, but you made New Orleans feel very safe and comfortable from the time we arrived. The house is in a great location, and John and Dewey really are a lot of fun. In just four days, I experienced many of the places the locals frequent, which made this trip one of my best ever."
"Thanks alot! Now I have to go on a diet! Between the wonderful breakfast (the fresh fruit marinated in raspberry sauce was fabulous, as was the New Orleans-style coffee) and the great local restaurants, I ate my way through the week. Seriously, your B&B is a real find, and I will tell all of my friends. I really had a blast."
"I'm in New Orleans to attend a convention, but staying at the B&B made it feel like a vacation, too! My co-workers staying at one of the large hotels were very jealous when they saw your house. Thanks for making it memorable, and I will be back..."
"What a great house! We stayed in the Owner's Suite and loved it... very comfortable. Loved the breakfast, courtyard, computer access and talking with John everyday. It really is like going home... I will never stay anywhere else in New Orleans."
"We loved our stay at La Maison Marigny. Our host, John, was extremely helpful from the very moment we arrived. We felt like we were being greeted by a long time friend. The B&B is very conveniently located to the sights in the French Quarter, and the nightclubs on Frenchman St. The rooms are beautiful, and so quiet, you won't know there are other guests in the house. John was very helpful in guiding us on where to go and where to dine. When we return to New Orleans, we will always stay at La Maison Marigny."
"Foregoing the frilly decor nonsense that dominates most B&Bs, the owners have decorated La Maison Marigny very tastefully with a touch of New Orleans. The rooms had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. The breakfasts were tasty. The location was great (far enough away from the boisterous end of Bourbon, yet a three minute walk from Frenchman St, where a more local and mature crowd hangs out for dinner, drinks, and music.)"
"One of the best B&Bs I've ever stayed in! The house is ideally situated at the quiet residential end of Bourbon Street, close enough to the heart of the French Quarter to be an easy pleasant walk, but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful (including in the pretty back garden, a perfect place to eat breakfast). A marvellous place to stay... highly recommended."
"Once again a wonderful stay at this beautifully and thoughtfully appointed home in the Faubourg Marigny neighborhood located adjacent to the French Quarter. John, the host, is as graceful and welcoming as the suite that we occupied. Do youself a favor and book La Maison Marigny."
"We really felt at home when staying at your Bed and Breakfast. Your continental breakfast each morning was the perfect way to start the day. I really do need that raspberry chocolate chip muffin recipe."
